What I discovered stunned me. It raised fundamental questions about how individuals are classified and engaged within the American legal system—questions that are rarely addressed directly in traditional legal education. After sitting for the bar, I began actively seeking educators who could provide real legal grounding—not just theory, slogans, or recycled talking points—but actual case law, doctrine, procedural understanding, and steps rooted in law. Having studied law, it was immediately apparent when someone was teaching from a surface-level understanding or “flying by the seat of their pants.” The lack of rigor was glaring. I first came across Yusef El through another content creator on TikTok who referenced his work. I immediately went to YouTube and searched Yusef and High Frequency Radio. As I began watching his content, something stood out right away: he actually reads. Case law. Legal dictionaries. Statutes. He doesn’t just assert—he substantiates. Still, I was cautious. At that point, I had been exposed to so many self-proclaimed “gurus” that discernment was necessary. Then it happened. In one of his videos, Yusef discussed personal jurisdiction and minimum contacts. At that moment, I knew I had found my teacher. No one else I had encountered—across countless groups and programs—had even mentioned these concepts, let alone explained them in context. Yet personal jurisdiction and minimum contacts are foundational doctrines in civil procedure, notoriously difficult even for law students to grasp due to the layered tests, evolving case law, and nuanced application. When Yusef spoke on this, it was clear he understood not only the doctrine, but how courts actually apply it. That was the confirmation. When the student is ready, the teacher will appear. I immediately enrolled in SPC University, and I can say without hesitation that the value provided is exceptional. Yusef dedicates an extraordinary amount of time and energy to teaching—inside SPC University and outside of it. He makes himself available through long-form education and countless hours of free content across YouTube, Instagram, and TikTok. I often wonder how his voice holds up or where he gets the stamina. That said, this is not a program for people looking for shortcuts or instant outcomes. SPC University is rigorous by design. Yusef emphasizes fundamentals. What students receive is essentially a law school–level education on the private side of the law. Even studying full-time, this kind of foundational legal education takes at least ten months, and in truth, it is a lifelong process. The law evolves constantly. Case law changes. Interpretations shift. This is why attorneys are required to maintain continuing legal education and remain current on jurisprudence. SPC University mirrors that reality—it cultivates legal literacy, not dependence on scripts or personalities. Even now, while I remain enrolled in other programs and continue learning across multiple arenas, the contrast is undeniable. That is not an exaggeration—it is evident in the substance of his teaching. Many say, “All roads lead to court.” Yet almost no one prepares people with usable legal knowledge—knowledge that allows one to speak clearly, coherently, and credibly in legal settings without being dismissed or labeled. SPC University does. I am deeply grateful to have found Yusef El and SPC University. This education is grounded, rigorous, and rooted in law—not performance, not posturing, and not fantasy.
